This Privacy Policy describes how CED Caribbean B.V. (“CED Caribbean,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the CED Caribbean POS PDF integration (“Application”).
1. Purpose
The Application is an internal business integration that connects authorized CED Caribbean systems with QuickBooks Online. Its primary purpose is to enable authorized systems and users to retrieve business information and documents, including invoice information and invoice PDF documents.
2. Information Processed
Depending on the functionality being used, the Application may process business and accounting information available through the connected QuickBooks Online account, including:
- Customer and business information;
- Invoice numbers and invoice details;
- Transaction information;
- Invoice PDF documents; and
- Technical information required to authenticate and communicate with QuickBooks Online.
The Application accesses information only as necessary to provide its intended functionality.
3. QuickBooks Online
The Application uses QuickBooks Online services provided by Intuit Inc.
When an authorized administrator connects QuickBooks Online to the Application, Intuit provides authorization credentials that permit the Application to communicate with the QuickBooks Online API.
CED Caribbean does not require POS users to disclose their individual QuickBooks passwords to use the Application.
4. Use of Information
Information obtained through the Application is used for legitimate CED Caribbean business purposes, including displaying, processing, and retrieving business documents and accounting information for authorized users.
CED Caribbean does not sell information obtained through the QuickBooks integration.
5. Data Security
CED Caribbean takes reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed by the Application against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
Authentication credentials and tokens used to communicate with QuickBooks Online are intended to be stored securely and used only for authorized API communications.
6. Data Sharing
Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate the Application, including hosting, infrastructure, and accounting technology providers.
Information is not shared with third parties for unrelated advertising or marketing purposes through this Application.
7. Data Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for legitimate business, operational, accounting, security, or legal purposes.
Authorization credentials associated with the QuickBooks connection may be removed or invalidated when the integration is disconnected.
8. Access and Questions
Questions concerning information processed through the Application may be directed to CED Caribbean.
9. Changes to This Policy
CED Caribbean may update this Privacy Policy when necessary to reflect changes to the Application, applicable requirements, or our information-handling practices.
